Installation Instructions
Installing and replacing snow tires requires some basic automotive knowledge and the proper tools. Here are the steps to properly install and replace snow tires:
Prepare tools: Make sure you have the following tools: tire wrench, jack, safety stand, new snow tires, and a tire nut socket if the original nuts are too tight.
Safety first: Park the vehicle on a flat and solid surface, pull the parking brake, and then place safety stands in front of and behind the wheels to prevent the vehicle from sliding unexpectedly.
Remove the tire: Use a tire wrench to loosen the tire nuts, but do not remove them completely. Then, use the jack to find the correct support point under the vehicle and raise the vehicle until the tire is off the ground. At this point, completely remove the nuts and remove the tire.
Install the new tire: Align the snow tire with the axle and turn the tire nuts a few turns by hand to ensure that the tire is in the correct position. Then, slowly lower the vehicle so that the tire is fully in contact with the ground, and then tighten the nuts in diagonal order with a wrench.
Tighten the nuts: Use a wrench to tighten the tire nuts in a cross order to ensure that they are even and secure. Do not overtighten to avoid damaging the threads.
Check the air pressure: Refer to your vehicle manual to make sure the newly installed snow tires have the manufacturer's recommended air pressure.
Repeat the process: Repeat the above steps for the vehicle's other tires until all tires are replaced with snow tires.
Store old tires: Clean and properly store old tires away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures to extend tire life.
Regular inspections: During winter use, regularly check the air pressure and wear of snow tires to ensure they are always in good condition.
If you are not familiar with these steps or do not have the appropriate tools, it is best to seek the help of a professional to ensure safety and correctness.
